I’m a Philadelphia-based journalist and entrepreneur and I’ve worked for various newspapers, magazines and websites as a reporter, photographer, and editor. And I’ve had a fun ride in my career, covering assignments like the Olympics, the NBA, the NCAA, and some national and local news. I especially enjoyed opportunities I had where my work made a difference, like a project I did documenting the experience of a 24-year-old mother waiting for a lifesaving heart transplant, or the quest of a woman to save injured birds of prey. 

One of the things I love about being a photojournalist is the opportunity it gives me to meet new people and explore the world. And that’s why I founded Uncharted, an outdoor adventure exploration community focused on helping people overcome the barriers that keep them from getting out, being active, and exploring their world –– whether it’s close to home or further away. 

So, I’m always in search of those off-the-beaten-path spots, those hidden places that most people pass by or some new activity that inspires. And since part of Uncharted’s mission is to spark the spirit of discovery and exploration inside each of us, I’m presenting my collection of art –– and sharing the stories behind those photos –– so people can display them at home, at work, or at school as a quiet reminder to never let any barrier oppose the human instinct to discover and explore the uncharted.
